CHURCH HISTORY
You do know that trials and tribulations come for a reason, some may say to make
you stronger or to bring you out of certain situations. Well, let’s put it like this God gave
Reginald a vision, he put him on a mission and now we’re walking in His favor.
True Unveiling Christian Center was founded by the late Reginald and Silvia Fears on February 5, 2011. The founding charter members gathered at 8951 Ruthby Street, Houston, with an opening service that honored God through scripture readings from Psalms 127 and St. Luke 2:49. Reginald Fears delivered a message titled “Investing in God’s Business.” The first board of directors included Silvia Fears, Henrietta Bedford, Samantha Williams, Sharoen Moncriffe, and Errol Moncriffe. The church selected red and gold as its colors, and initial furnishings included 75 red sanctuary chairs, a sound system, musical instruments, and office furniture.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 tells us to write the vision and make it plain upon tables that he may run the readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end is shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
On March 5, 2011, TUCC held its first morning service and an installation service led by Pastor Edgar Usher, who formally installed Reginald and Silvia Fears as Pastor and Co-Pastor. TUCC became a registered non-profit religious organization in Texas in September 2011.
Over the next few years, the church expanded its leadership and services, with Rev. Calvin Thornton joining as Assistant Pastor in 2012 and Deacon Errol Moncriffe, Deacon Lionel Fontenot and Deacon Jack being ordained the same year.
By 2013, TUCC had welcomed 112 members and added new ministries, including the Sisters of Support and God’s Men of Standard Ministries. The church also enhanced its facilities with new blue chairs, carpeting, and a weekly prayer line. October 2013 saw the church’s first “Old Fashion & Baptism Sunday,” with several baptisms held that day.
In 2014, TUCC purchased a larger location at 6601 Laura Koppe Rd., Houston. This 5,200 sq. ft. building includes a sanctuary, fellowship hall, classrooms, offices, and a commercial kitchen, and accommodates up to 250 members. The congregation made significant renovations, including a new roof, updated A/C, new kitchen appliances, and improved curb appeal.
In 2015, Minister Kenneth Villian became an Assistant Pastor, and in 2016, the Compassion Ministry was founded by Sis. Elizabeth Osario. In 2017, Hurricane Harvey caused water damage to the sanctuary and lobby, leading to a temporary relocation of services and further renovations, which included new pews, carpeting, and a Welcome Center in the foyer.

The late Apostle Reginald K. Fears preparing
his daughter, Samantha Fears-Hodge for work in the ministry at True Unveiling Christian Center Church
On May 24, 2024, the church experienced the sudden loss of its founding pastor, Reginald K. Fears. His services were held on June 8th 2024, with the eulogy delivered by his daughter, Samantha Fears-Hodge, the transitional pastor. Silvia Fears became the emeritus of True Unveiling in August of 2024

On August 18, 2024, the birthday of the late founding pastor, his daughter, Samantha Fears Hodge, was installed as the senior pastor of True Unveiling Church.
Since its founding, True Unveiling Christian Center has embraced growth and transformation, guided by strong faith and a dedicated congregation. Over the years, new ministries have emerged, enriching the spiritual life of the church. Compassion Ministry, Sisters of Support, and God’s Men of Standard are just a few examples of how members continue to expand the church's outreach and support for one another.
As women increasingly step into leadership roles, they bring fresh perspectives and energies that help shape the future of True Unveiling Christian Center. Together, the congregation looks forward to building upon the foundation laid by its founders and empowering the next generation to continue the work of the ministry.
